This is our first seasonal Field Lab incense, ever, and man are we excited. This stuff is so special, made with wood from fir and pine trees and real, hand-harvested tree pitch from Mount Hood, it positively sings the Ice Giants of the Pacific Northwest.

Note from Hall: “Sing their names with me: Hood, Shasta, Mazama, South Sister, Jefferson, Adams, Rainier, Baker. I know I left some out but just saying the names of those gods puts me in a dream state of hiking in that area: wet trail, descending down Gnarl Ridge to Elk Meadow, out of the rainstorm and into the dry, clothes hanging on sticks by the fire, cozy up in the shelter, the earth rich with the new rains, the clouds peel back to reveal the God we knew was up there but couldn't see, until now."

"As with all of our incenses, we don’t use the standard Indian and Chinese charcoals that are found in virtually every other incense on the market. Why? Because while charcoal is great for helping incense burn, it’s also packed with chemical nasties that throw scent into that dorm-room incense category. Our incense is made with 100% natural materials from the mountains of the west: real leaves, tree trimmings, tree pitch, cambium wood, and wild herbs. We can’t even buy these materials from anyone! If we want an ingredient, the only way for us to get it is to put on our hiking boots, make a deal with the forest service, national park, or whoever, and go and get it. But it’s so worth it, because at the end we get to say, “This incense is 100% wild harvested, with love, by us, for you.”

Crafted in a hand-numbered edition of 203, each tube of Campfire Incense comes with 20 sticks.
